Jos Town Ambassadors Foundation (JTA), in partnership with the Sentinel Oasis for Love and Care Initiative (SOLCI), successfully carried out this week’s community sanitation exercise with active participation from stakeholders, youth representatives, and government officials.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Director of SOLCI, Haroun Audu, who was unavoidably absent, and on behalf of JTA, where she serves as BOT Secretary, Odessa M. Chuwang highlighted the importance of the partnership between JTA, SOLCI, and PEPSA in promoting cleaner, healthier, and more peaceful communities across Jos.
She reaffirmed JTA’s commitment to peacebuilding, unity, and sustainable community development.
The Youth Leader, David Bako, expressed appreciation to the organizers and assured the community’s readiness to participate more actively in future exercises.
Councillor Kim Chollom emphasized that “cleanliness is next to godliness” and commended PEPSA’s support for sanitation efforts.
Other stakeholders stressed the importance of sanitation in preventing disease, maintaining a healthy environment, and strengthening community unity.
They also called for greater participation and improved support for waste evacuation to sustain the initiative.
The exercise ended successfully with participants dispersing peacefully after the cleanup activities.
Together, we can build a cleaner, healthier, and more united Jos.
