Dorcas, a beneficiary of the Jos Town Ambassadors Teenage Mothers Intervention Programme, is now among the selected participants attending the PLASMIDA SHINE Mentorship Initiative, where she is gaining valuable skills to further transform her future.
On 26th March 2026, the Director General of Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency, Hon. Bomkam Wuyep, engaged with the pioneer mentees of the newly launched SHINE Initiative (Supporting Her Innovation, Network & Enterprise). The session marked the beginning of a powerful journey for young women entrepreneurs across Plateau State.
Dorcas stands as a shining example of what empowerment can achieve. From receiving support through JTA to now sitting at the table of opportunity, she is embracing growth in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, digital marketing, and leadership.
The DG emphasised that mentorship is the bridge between potential and success, encouraging participants like Dorcas to remain focused, take initiative, and maximise every learning opportunity.
Through this initiative, Dorcas and other mentees will be equipped not only to build sustainable businesses but also to impact their communities through a “train-the-trainer” approach—multiplying knowledge and opportunity for others.
This progress aligns with the broader vision of His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang, to empower women and strengthen the economic future of Plateau State.
