MoU Partnership Signing Ceremony: SOLCI and J Town Ambassadors Foundation

We are pleased to announce the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sentinel Oasis of Love Care Initiative (SOLCI) and J-Town Ambassadors Foundation (JTA), marking the start of a strategic partnership focused on youth empowerment, servant leadership, environmental responsibility, and community development in Jos.

The meeting opened with introductions, followed by presentations from both organizations. JTA highlighted its over 50-year legacy of friendship, trust, and community service, as well as its role in peacebuilding, mentorship, stakeholder engagement, and grassroots mobilization. SOLCI shared its faith-driven mission to equip young people (18–30), irrespective of tribe and religion, primarily drawn from Jos North, Jos South, and Jos East, with the values and skills needed for integrity-based, compassionate leadership and active civic engagement.

A goodwill message was delivered by a representative of Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA), who commended the initiative and assured JTA/SOLCI of PEPSA’s willingness to assist as best as possible, in line with its mandate as the foremost Plateau State government agency responsible for waste management and environmental sanitation.

Further goodwill messages and discussions underscored shared priorities, including clean and healthy environments, public health awareness, programme sustainability, and opportunities for qualified youth volunteers. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to a long-term, impactful collaboration, including active field engagement in communities such as Kabong, Gangere, Dutse Uku, Ali Kazaure, Sarkin Arab, Jenta Apata, Tafawa Balewa, Jenta Adamu, Vanderpuye, and Tudun Wada in the first tranche of cleanup exercises planned to kick off in February.

The signing ceremony concluded with group photographs and a shared resolve to serve communities, build bridges, and empower the next generation of leaders.

Haroun Audu signed the MoU on behalf of SOLCI and Odessa M Chuwang signed on behalf of JTA.
